PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Mindful Edge programme, led by Mr. Peter Bliss, was a three-day immersive training designed to integrate mindfulness, leadership, resilience, and well-being in a professional setting. Organized by Bhutan Global Mindfulness & MICE (BGMM), curated for participants from Green Digital Limited (GDL) and Druk Holding and Investments (DHI) & companies. The event combined evidence-based mindfulness practices, interactive leadership sessions, and experiential wellness modalities. The programme’s design helped participants understand how the mind works, how to manage attention and emotions effectively, and how to cultivate self-awareness and resilience as essential leadership qualities.
Objectives
The Mindful Edge programe aimed to:

Strengthen personal resilience and emotional intelligence. Provide experiential learning through movement, meditation, and sound-based modalities. He integrates ancient philosophies, neuroplasticity and epigenetic science-based research, and his extensive corporate leadership experience to help individuals, businesses, schools, and governments achieve focus, clarity, direction, and transformation. Peter’s academic background includes Mathematics, Science, Psychology, Marketing, and Human Behaviour, and he is a certified meditation, Qi Gong, and Tai Chi teacher. Before founding Business is Bliss over 20 years ago, he served as Managing Director of a large national company for six years, following more than 25 years in senior management and marketing roles with blue-chip multinational organizations. Through Business is Bliss, Peter delivers programs globally that merge science, spirituality, and practical application to help leaders and teams achieve sustainable performance through mindfulness and self-awareness.

5. Fixed vs. Growth Mindset and The “Lizard, Guard Dog & Wise Owl” Brain Model: Understanding emotional regulation and cognitive flexibility.
6. Real Emotional Intelligence: Practical insights into self-awareness, empathy, and mindful communication.
Midday Session:
7. The 7 Secrets to Mindful Leadership: A practical unveiling of seven principles for balanced and effective leadership.
8. Aligning Personal Purpose, Presence, and Performance: “Wheel of Life”
Afternoon Sessions:
9. Discovering Personal Values: Interactive questionnaire and reflection session.
10. Neuroscience-Backed Mindfulness Tools:
-Breathing techniques (“Vodka,” “Coffee,” and “Water” breaths) for balancing the nervous system.
-Understanding the sympathetic and parasympathetic responses.
Closing Reflection:
Participants shared insights and commitments to continue applying mindfulness in daily work and leadership practice.
Meditation session on Day 3
- Qi Gong (45 mins): Gentle movement practice integrating breath, energy, and awareness.
- Restorative/Yin Yoga (30 mins): Deep relaxation through mindful stretching and stillness.
- Meditation (30 mins): Guided meditation for focus and emotional grounding.
- Sound Bath (30 mins): Immersive sound therapy promoting calm, healing, and balance.
- Concluding Discussion & Refreshments: Group sharing of reflections, key takeaways, and personal commitments to integrate mindfulness into leadership and team culture.
